Learning to code

Finding the code

Why am I learning to code?

I am seeing the first step of learning to code and program so to get to writing ML algorithms as a mission boot camp. If I am to be serious about my mission then I must be serious about where I train. But where I hear you ask do you start to teach yourself to code? I chose a Udacity nanodegree.

(New to the blog and wondering what on earth is this person on about talking about missions I just want to learn to code! What is this mysterious mission? Find out in my post here: The Mission)

Where to learn to code: finding Udacity nanodegree

The world of online learning courses and teaching yourself  to code can be somewhat daunting. With so much on offer how was I possibly supposed to find the right course for me? Given my predicament I did what any self-respecting millennial would do and turned to god, I mean google, for help. A few carefully constructed searches later I came across the below article reviewing the Udacity course. This was looking promising. I did some work cross-referencing with few follow up searches which this would indeed be a good place to start learning to code. It was time to get my programming journey started.

In addition to this, the below article summarizes several other online paid for courses where you can start learning to code:

Best free online coding courses: some alternatives

I would like to note at this point that I am in the fortunate position where I am able to pay for a course to learn to code. However I have also found several highly recommended courses that are free to teach yourself to code. For example several of my friends rave about code achademy. Below are a couple of articles summarizing how the best free courses to learn to code I have found.

Once I had come to my decision about where to train about 30 minutes later I was signed up. I was assigned a mentor and am now ready to go. Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype. Off we go!

    Hello ,

I saw your tweets and thought I will check your website. Have to say it looks very good!
I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.

I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive. Was thinking about starting using analytics. Do you recommend it?
Can you recommend something what works best for you?

Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Hope to hear from you soon.

    P.S.
Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?

    Regards
    Jan Zac
